The Maltese Islands

The Maltese archipelago consists of three islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino.  The total area of the islands is 320 square kilometres and these lie 95 kilometres south of Sicily and 290 kilometres from the nearest point of the North African coast.  Malta is 27 kilometres long and its widest point measures 14 kilometres.

It takes only two to three hours to get to Malta by air from most European Cities.  There are frequent and direct flights from the major European cities including Rome, Paris, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam and others.

Malta enjoys warm dry summers and mild winters.  The temperatures range from 12 degrees Celsius in the winter months to around 30 degrees Celsius in August, the hottest month of the year.

To most people Malta is a country of sunshine - but there is much more to Malta than just its reputation as an attractive holiday resort!

Malta is in many ways the ideal place to mix English learning with sunshine!
